Description
My name is Matt and I am looking for climbing partners. I am American living in Bologna studying Italian. Not sure where, but I will be in Europe until sometime in the fall. I don't have any plans yet but I am working on it.
Here is a little about my experience. I have climbed quite a bit in the US. I went to college Colorado and climbed there. Also in New York state. I have lead up to grade 3 ice but have no experience with glacier travel. Last summer I was leading 5.9 YDS trad climbing. 5.10 sport. With me in Italy I have a full trad rack, draws, helmet, ice tools, crampons, mountaineering boots, snow clothing, and other small things. Don't have a rope though.
My intention is to climb a lot in the Alps. Particularly alpine rock, but also mountaineering. Really am up for anything. Destinations I am really keen for are the Dolomites, Mont Blanc area Chamonix Courmayeur, rock climbing in Provence, the Calanques, and Val Masino Alps.
Last weekend I went to Cortina. Too much snow to really do anything but hike around a little. It was my first time in the Alps. Actually the week of May 18 to May 23, I am taking a week off from school. Looking to climb as much as possible. It will be too early for a lot of things but maybe mountaineering and snow climbs. Maybe climbing at lower elevations. Am willing to travel some else in in Europe too.

| hey Matt,
Let me know if you want to meet up in Austria sometime, preferrably in central Austria. I have some very experienced climbing friends here. I would like to climb in Italy sometime myself. | Posted May 25, 2009 1:15 am |

I will be in Europe/Switz. from July 3rd-29th and am looking to climb as much as possible, mostly mountaineering. Want to climb Matterhorn (prob with guide) and Mt Blanc and any others I have time for. Let me know if you're interested in getting a group together to do some climbing. Will be leaving for Europe in a few weeks so if possible respond asap.

| Hi,
I will go to Europe in the next September and I looking for a partner to climbing with me. Probably I will stay in Czech Republic, but I can go to Italy or others countries around.
I’m a Brazilian rock climber, I started three years ago and my experience is with trad climb. I’m leading comfortably until 5.10a in trad and 5.11a in sport. I have a full trad rack, single rope, a lot of quickdraws, binners, and the others gears.
You can see a little about me in www.youtube.com/maurochiara.
