I'm looking for partners who are interested in getting away from the same 'ol ice routes, willing to seek out some new stuff or do some known ice that is a bit far to get into. I've found some nice stuff in my backcountry winter ski/snow camping trips and I've also found falls in the summer that may have potential in the winter for some great ice. Exploring is the idea and the ice may not be there when we arrive, but I'm bringing the climbing gear just in case. Being in the mountains there's always something new to find and go do. Prefer a partner for some of these climbs that is a SOLID 4 leader, maybe better. If not, then we can seek out the easier stuff, though with a liitle rust removal I can lead solid 4 again. Most of the stuff I've seen may go at moderate level, but the approaches are on roads, so expect 6-14 mile ski/snowshoeing before reaching the trailheads. A drive from Missoula is anywhere from 1 -5 hours, depending on road/weather conditions. Camping is neccesary, Avy savy is a must, as well as on- sighting the unknown. If you have some winter adventures you'd like to do, then I'm in for those too! Amy
