Piz BoeIs the Piz Boe an hiking Mountain? What is the degree of difficulty? T5 / WS?

Re: Piz BoeSorry to have missed this one. Yes, Piz Boé is a hiking mountain if you ascend it from the Sass Pordoi (2950 m), the extreme left (west) side of the Sella plateau as seen here (just before the notch in the skyline). There is a cabin lift from the Passo Pordoi (2239 m) (but you can also hike the 700 meter up). From here you begin by going about 100 m down, and then at first horizontal, later more and more steeply to Piz Boé, There are a few short stretches of steep rocks where you need to use your hands a bit, but nothing difficult (although the rocks are worn smooth and can be slippery when wet). Great views on the way and from the top

Beautiful! The snowy ridgeline and the continous headwall giving way to the green slopes.

Re: Beautiful!Thank you. Yes the Dolomites do have very green grass, which may be related to their chemical composition.
