winter hike
John, John and I headed down from Boise for a change of pace as the snow is terrible for skiing right now and the fog in Boise is unbearable. Pretty nice area- the 2000foot prominence peaks in Northern Nevada have proven to be fun winter and spring outings.
Well done. You did it the "hard" way but glad you signed the climber's log with your info.

Beautiful area
Camped at Big Bend campground, a beautiful camping spot high in the mountains in a dense aspen grove. Lightning storms to the south kept the evening entertaining. Had owls and falcons flying around the camping area also, just a wonderful camping spot.
Drove most of the 4x4 road, but opted to park at the 7824 saddle and hike the remaining road which quickly deteriorated to an atv track. Lots of bouldering up high, with some bushwhacking mixed in for good measure. Amazing views down into the Bruneau River Canyon and across to the Copper Mountain Range. For minor as this mountain may be in the overall scheme of Nevada P2K's this is really a pretty area to visit.

Deja Vu all over again
A repeat. Only a pair of elk hunters had found and signed the register since I had been there last. Did this one with Dennis Poulin.
