StreaksJust a tech note here for your photo geeks out there.
The vertical streaks in this picture are caused by the emulsion on film being scrapped (Damaged) "Bruised maybe??" ever so gently while winding in the camera. A common fault in most disposable cameras but usually not noticeable on the colour film since the emulsion is thicker and in multi layers.
In BW film there is only a single layer and it is easy to damage with a cheap camera.
The lack of sharpness is caused by the single element plastic lens (though it is possible to create a plastic lens that has better properties than a glass lens but this cost $$$$)

That was a fun trip; nice clear weather down below, and blizzard conditions up top in the afternoon. Made for an enjoyable trek...
