A lot of fun with her as a companion. Pen is a sweetheart, always smiling, always happy. Great place to go practice a little climbing and not too far from your place...

Re: looks like funThat's an excellent idea. Daly could join us, maybe others from close by cities. Let's make a note of this. The cabins at the Lodgepole area might even be available for rent, but if not, the campground at Lodgepole is empty in winter. Skiing the Giant Forest's "Trail of the Sequoias" is awesome in winter. I would do it gain and again. Also hiking to the top of Moro Rock in winter is unforgetable. The views of Tripple Divide, Castle Rock Spire and the Fin are great.
