up south face, down east ridge
Surprise Valley > Andromeda > Pegasus > LF Fall Creek.
A fun day of hiking and scrambling with my dog.

Smoky
There were fires near Sun Valley that pushed smoke into the area and made the views a little worse. I was with my dad and he opted not to hit the summit as the ridge got a little sketchy. Still had fun.

nice drainage
I enjoyed the left fork of fall creek- pretty classic Idaho alpine valley with plenty of elk. The peak itself was not overly interesting to climb (and some of the talus a little unpleasant) but great views into the heart of the Pioneer range. Pleasant weather and good fun as usual with splattski

Great Day
Hiked into the very scenic Left Fork of Fall Creek, and then climbed the west ridge (mostly class 2) to the summit. Great views in all directions. From there we tried to traverse the ridge south to Pk 11600’. Lot’s of route-finding along the ridge slowed us down, so after a couple hours we bailed down a steep gully to Surprise Valley. Awesome day with Steve G. Trip Report.
I completed that connection in reverse, but stayed east of (and far below) the ridge. Andromeda to Pegasus in 45 minutes, but it certainly felt longer with sidehilling loose dirt north of Andromeda
