another attempt at McDonald
was planning on going over Sheeps head to McDonald but it snowed and it was running out of daylight, great climb on it's own though. Sketchy traverse a few hundred feet below the summit looking for an access gully to the top, route was much better the farther right we went from the ridge. biggest dangers were bear grass (that stuff is slippery) and creating our own bowling ally, be sure to keep your group together and not kick rocks down at your team.

1 day after the grizzly closure lifted, and only a few hours before the first snowstorm of the year. Lots of fun and much trickier than I expected!

West Ridge 2011-With Dave Prather
Traversed up to the ridge above Ashley Lakes Trail. From the top, there is an amazing view North to McDonald Reservoir.
