Parkline Slabs Right Side

Parkline Slabs Right Side

18-October-2008: Start of Right Side (5.7) at Parkline Slabs, south of Yosemite Valley, on 140 near El Portal. It was as nasty as it looked - munge, moss, dirt, loose rock, even some glacier polish in places. Still, some fun moves. Not recommended unless you want some, ah, adventure :) We climbed it in four pitches. Descent via three double-rope (60m) raps from pine tree at the top to two bolted rap stations.

YUCK! :)

Gee Rob, you forgot about the poison oak! I'm sure that would make folks want to climb here even more! ;^)

Re: YUCK! :)

I think the fact that we decided to climb it even after seeing this confirms the hypothesis about brain damage being caused by mountaineering :)
