Panorama northward over the summit crater, which is about a mile across from left to right (it doesn't look like it is). Mt. Rainier and Mt. Adams are the two visible volcanoes. Photo taken September 28, 1992 when the early season cornice is no longer a hindrance for safely viewing down into the crater. It's just so hard to imagine the violent expulsion of all that rock!!!
