Pangea

Pangea

Me climbing on Pangea (5.11d) in El Potrero Chico in Mexico. Pangea is a fabulous route with lots of huecos and even a no hands rest in the middle of the overhanging face. This Particular shot, taken by Dave Vuono has been published in Magic Ed's Selected Rock Climbs of El Potrero Chico. Also Visit Dave's Website.

Great shot!!!

I always love the top angle and I love limestone too! Have always wanted to go here, looks awesome. How's the limestone in comparison to other areas like Rifle and Shelf Road? Just curious. Way to send it bro!

Re: Great shot!!!

Dan,

Thanks for the comment. I've spent a total of about a month in Potrero, and very little time on other limestone crags. I've climbed some limestone in Northeastern Oregon and Hells Canyon, ID... but other than that nothing too popular. The limestone in MX is littered with ridiculous tufas and is pretty sharp in nature. Much of the climbing, especially the longer routes, are vertical to just under vertical, making tight sport shoes somewhat painful by days end. I highly recommend Potrero... let me know if you need any specific beta, I love sharing. Thanks again Dan! -Drew
