We found our way via White Rock Canyon and cannot recommend the roads to anyone. I wouldn't go that way again myself, knowing what I now know. The hike up to the summit was relatively easy and offered no technical challenges but the road would be the crux. Trust me, don't go via White Rock Canyon to Piute Windmill/Chipmunk Spring/Drip Spring. If you should go that way anyway, two 4WD high clearance vehicles are recommended and walk the shelf road leading down to Piute Windmill first to determine whether you want to chance it or not.
