Over the crest of the Wiesbadener Grätle

Coming from the Vermunt Glacier on the east, ascending the Wiesbadener Grätle poses a bit of a scramble, and you'll certainly need your hands a few places. At the start, where the rocks are the steepest, the route is supported by a few steel steps. It is never difficult though, and good fun to do. We've now reached the crest of the ridge, and from there on it's just a short way down on the other side, to the upper part of the Ochsental Glacier. Compared to what we've done so far, the rest of the way to the top of Piz Buin will turn out to be easy. 23 July 2013.
