Could be better
The Vario Chest Harness is lightweight and designed primarily for glacier travel to help keep the climber upright in the event of a crevasse fall.

It's nicely designed except for one thing. The buckle on the back is made of a flexible plastic material and it doesn't stay in position under weight. It's fine if you're hanging in a completely horizontal position but if you're Prusiking up a rope in an upright position, the buckle will eventually slide up the webbing and end up behind your neck which means the harness isn't completely in position. It still helps to support your back but the higher up it slides, the less comfortable it is as the webbing moves away from the center of your back up towards the shoulders.

The Vario Chest Harness is still be better than rigging your own chest harness but it would be so much better if the buckle in the back was designed not to slip.
