Mount Whitney: The Complete Trailhead-To-Summit Hiking Guide
This book is a great book, full of alot of information. I did the Main Whitney Trail in 2005, I did not read the book at that time. I did not make the lottery this year, so I picked up the book. I found so many other routes to take up to Whitney, I did not know there were that many. This book describes each route in great detail. I found a route that I liked and was able to get a permit for that route. This book has everything you need to plan a trip to Whitney. This book describes the route so well, I feel I don't even need a map to complete it. (I am bringing one, I am just making a point.) I stongly reccomend this book to anyone planning futrure trip to Mount Whitney.
