Three layers of Primaloft on top, two layers inside. Cut to accept glove liners. Only available in black. The synthetic material breaks down over time but this is incredibly warm and stays warm when wet. If durability is the issue get the OR mitten. If warmth is the issue this is it. Also much more supple than the OR and easier to grip ice tools etc.
They are expensive but these are the warmest gloves or mittens I've ever had on my hands. I was even able to ice climb while wearing them although I found placing screws with them on to be a little too difficult. A tad expensive, but VERY warm.
They are especially nice in camp where manually dexterity is not terribly important. They also pack down pretty well considering their size.
Used them for two years, in the Himalaya and winter in the alps. Very comfortable and very very warm , too warm for me, I sold them but for those with cold fingers and hands the right choice
