The full-on mountaineering version of Space tent features a full coverage fly with snowflaps and additional side vents. Two sets of pegs can be set up. Inner tent fitted to groundsheet provides an easy and fast pitch. Pockets at opposite ends of pole sleeves eliminate the setup dace around the tent. No-see-um netting and apse.



Triangular vestibule (h = 110 cm).

Stuffed size: 55 x 25 cm (1 ft 9.5 in x 9.75 in).

Good tent but with some defects: snowflaps tear easily with the pegs (when camping on snow) also there is too much condensation overflow (sometimes it leaks onto the campers). However this is an ideal tent for hiking and mountaneering. Comfortable for three persons inside with some things (like boots, some clothes) with them and their backpacks in the vestibule. Its easy and fast pitch is well-known. It weighs very little too.

+ Extremely easy to pitch. Less than two minutes.

+ Large snow/storm mats, which is very useful when on snow or rocky ground where the pegs are hard to use.

+ Very little condensation, if two persons in teh tent.

+ Quite light weight.

+ Simple and easy construction.

+ Good resistence to UV-radiation. I used one of my Space Explorer over 300 nights over 4000m.



-

- The vestibule is next to useless for cooking. Not steep enough.

- If you can´t use the storm/snow mats for pinning down the tent, it´s not for really rough conditions.
