The new Dry Tool and I still love it. Came a bit stiff out of the bag but use will soften them up over a short period of time. These also have proven to be warmer than advertised for me, wearing them in 17F weather has been no problem.

Don't expect them to we water proof however but a treatment of water proofing for the palm and the shell should keep you dry in most of the conditions us mere mortals would consider climbing in.

Older model
This review is for the older model - the ones which are (were) all black. I tend to apply some Aqua Seal (McNett) to the fingertip and thumb area to help with water- and abrasion-resistance. I've used these to climb couloirs in warmer weather, and for protecting my hands while rock scrambling in cooler temps. When sized tightly they work well.

Got 'em for half price on closeout too !
