The title says it all
This book is one of the best guide books I have ever seen.
Roache's writing style is excellent and easy to understand.
The maps and directions to trailheads are impeccable.
I read this book for fun.

Excellent resource
As rasgoat says, this book is fun just to read. It's spent a lot of time in my hallway "office." Seriously, though, it is detailed, well-written, and has excellent maps and diagrams. Novices and experts alike will find this guide indispensable. Sometimes, it's so good that it almost takes the fun out of the climb by making you feel the climb through it, but that changes quickly once you go.

The Benchmark
It's all here. This is the book that all others on the subject will be measured against. Great descriptions, maps and photos.

The 14er Bible
If you're going to climb a 14er buy this book. You won't need any other.

Great Book
Don't expect descriptions on different conditions- it assumes summer conditions for basically everything, and it is not that in depth at all in terms of technical climbs, but its otherwise a great guide to 14ers
