Excellent guide book
If I had to pick only 1 guide book to climb Aconcagua, it would be this one. Ryan's book is very comprehensive. It has a very detailed description for each of the main routes to the summit and basecamps along the way. Unlike secor's book, it contains a lot of general information such as city guides for Mendoza/Santiago/Penitentes, and an overview of the local language/currency/food, etc. This is very useful as you will likely be travelling through one of those cities before or after the climb. This guide book also has better map diagrams than Secor's book.
