Our route up Piney

After we came down off of Garns Mountain, we took a trail that headed to Piney Pass and then followed a trail that followed the ridges over to the base of Piney Peak. You then choose your own way up to the summit ridge of Piney and I have identified our way up with the red line. On the way down, we went above and to the left of the boulder field and found that a better way to go. Adam Helman is one of the most active county highpointers in the USA and only has 35 more county highpoints to go to finish the west. Amazing effort. See his completion Map HERE. He is very much dedicated to this pursuit. He is after the last ones left in the west and will probably get those by next summer sometime.
