Clouds and rain
Visited the summit on a cloudy and windy day with drizzly rain on the summit. But still a nice little tour.
Reached the summit from the Col de Larrau with Jesús, another fellow member of Irrintzi mountain group

From the forest of Irati
Starting from the forest of Irati and climbing Muxumurru (1628 meters) on the way, Ori gets back its real dimension as a 2000 meter summit. Just one word: no paths for most of the way. A nice steep climb in a sunny morning with some fresh breezes

Nice and windy
Reached the summit from the Col de Larrau, sharing the climb with two great friends. Rather strong winds from the south-southwest, but as a whole it was an extremely nice hike for a summer morning.
Route Climbed: Pikatua-south Date Climbed: 14th January 2006
Withdrew from a spot 1800 meters high. It was a hard day, and though Rafa and other members of the group did make it to the top I didn't see it too clear. But I was not the only one turning back, eh?
Route Climbed: Pikatua-east ridge Date Climbed: January 14, 2006
Great clear day with adverse conditions in the snow. The cold nights of this days make the climb hardest with ice in the begin of horizontal traverse under Ori Txipi and the final pyramid. Great effort to reach the cold and wind of the summit. My second winter climb to this mountain, and still no one summer climb (I have managed to avoid the lot of people of the summer for the moment...)
Route Climbed: Ochagavia-Izalzu Date Climbed: 19th february 2005
Really a terrible day with heavy snowfall. The road of Larrau was closed this day for the snow and we begun the climb in Izalzu (800 meters) but really was an impossible climb with the hard effort to walk in the snow. After 3 hours in the sierra de Abodi about 1400 meters (more than 600 meters still to the summit) we left the climb and we returned in the middle of a storm of snow with wind and cold. I think that route it's hard and long even in summer but in bad winter days is inaccesible.
No summit (not very important) but indeed a good trainning in winter conditions.
I was taking my uncle on his first 2000 metre summit since his hip operation. The weather was clear and we could see as far as the coast, beautiful landscapes. Lots of people there, still a very enjoyable easy hike.
Route Climbed: East ridge - Normal route Date Climbed: 7 December 2003
A little bit of a disappointment, for we had hoped to find snow and therefore be able to practice our technique. Nevertheless, a nice walk and some of the best views I've ever enjoyed from a summit. We could see from the french coast to the Bisaurín area.
