That explains itI got to the top of the classic chute and tried to follow the ridge to the summit. It was NOT class 3!

Re: That explains itYeah, I made the same error. We eventually backtracked and found a third way above what's drawn in here. Wish I'd seen this photo BEFORE climbing Ritter.

betaThis photo is great beta for climbing Ritter although it's very clear from the top of the short trip up Banner. I would only add that when climbing from the top of the 'right hand chute' to the top of the 'classic chute', don't be deterred by any small gendarmes or other obstacles - just push on until you get to the obvious ramp. I thought I missed something when it wasn't as straight and steady as the red line in the photo and wasted time poking around.
