"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Consolation PeakA really fun hike!- I especially like walking the slabs. Some of the best views around! Looking at that knife edge north ridge over there on Canyon Peak- Wow, that looks intimidating! Wonder if & when I will get to climb that one. But this is also a very nice peak in its own right and very much worth going to. Super bonus: as I was heading up the last pitch to the summit, I looked over to my right and saw a big 'ole mountain goat standing on the summit of "Sheer Point"!

Good Climb on a Great Route24jun09 - Visited this summit a second time - this time with a friend and with more snow present on the ground. A good outing.
15sep07 - During ascent, I stayed high, close to the crest of the ridge. But during descent, I stayed off the talus and boulders and on the slab granite. It's a much better way to go - easier on the ankles and feet.
