Yes thems are real sharks, Caribbean Reef Sharks in the wild. No this was not edited. And no, I would not do this if they were Great Whites, Bull Sharks, or other species known to attack humans. It's the same as mountain climbing, if you know what you are doing and you are well prepared, you can do it safely. By the way, for a better SCUBA dive photo, take your regulator out just before the picture is snapped.
