My dog before the entrance to...

My dog before the entrance to the old mining cabin just to the north of Horseshoe Mountain's summit. The miners who dwelt here (at around 13,900 feet) definately were tough as nails. The Leadville Limestone Formation of which Horseshoe is composed contains extensive hydrothermal veins rich in gold, silver, and other heavy metals. September 2001. Jon Bradford
