Just me and Coyotes
A great few hours exploring. I had the place to myself - just me and lots of baying coyotes. The last entry in the summit log was 2015.

3rd Peak of 2010
Well my dog Jenny certainly liked the hike...and maybe even the bumpy ride too.

Taken for a ride....
Kudos for Dean for building this page and providing some good directions! Even so, getting in was no easy task....and had we not started a GPS track that we would later use to backtrack, we might not have made it out! Very windy on the summit, nice views, and pure solitude. We placed a new register in a mason jar based on Dean's 2009 report that the register was in poor repair and jar broken. If anyone else is making a trip to Murdock, please throw a small pen/pencil in the jar -- my pen was too big. Found the old pencil and threw it in, but it needs to be sharpened. No sign of the old register or ziplock bag that Dean used. Gone with the wind, I'm sure.

2nd one of the day
Seattle climber Ken Jones and I thought we could make this one the 2nd of the day. After solving the road "mysteries", and dodging a thunderstorm that enjoyed hitting us with a lot of rain and hail, we made it to a trailhead of sorts at 7500', making this a relatively easy hike. We made it back to Wendover in time for a late dinner.
