Wilson Peak Access Update
The USFS announced on June 9 that the new Rock of Ages Trail in Silver Pick Basin will be closed for the summer while the Elk Creek Road (FSR 645), the route to the new trailhead, is rebuilt. The road re-do will require extensive timber removal, skidding and hauling on the road; also widening, grading, drainage, and spot graveling. The road will reopen when the work is done, or November 15, whichever comes first.
