Great Overview Mathias! I do not know how to feel about pages, which cover one whole massif instead of a mountain. I know it is hard to describe each mountain, but ultimately you don't know where to look for an information and if the massif page should give specific information about each mountain, the amount of job is the same. Anyway you did a great job with this overview and of course specific mountains can be added later one by one.
What further intentions do you have with this page? Routes? Overview pics? You mentioned a map.
No, the mountains should get own pages. I will not write more about the mountains than what is in the tableboard. Feel free to ad mountain pages! Perhaps not for the Rötspitze, this one I am planning.
Possibilities for the Group's page are perhaps a route's page for Venediger Höhenweg hiking trail, or an own section for each valley. Photos can be arranged better this way.
Currently I am working on a map with rivers, ranges, hut, trails. The structure of the group is so complex that an overview map is necessary.
The content is great, but maybe it would be reasonable to define a sub-group for Lasörlinggruppe (the mountains betwen Virgental and Defereggental). They are a little bit different from the main Venediger group as they are not so high, and have no glaciers. I would like to add some peaks of this area (Gösleswand, Lasörling, all the peaks around Zupalseehütte), but unfortunately I was there before the digital era, so I have only colour slides. OK, I know, I should scan them, but it takes a lot of time:)
cheers,
saman, who is also Mathias but he writes it "Mátyás" :)
Hi, you are right - Venediger Group is big enough that subgroups would be useful, not only for Lasörling ridge, but also Panaragenkamm, Durreck Group and so on. At present too much work for me...
A page for Lasörling would be nice - I have many pictures to contribute (also old slides, but already scanned)
