Approach

Starting at the Sandstone Quarry trailhead, use the Turtlehead Peak Trail described on the main page until you reach 5,580'. It's very straight-forward from the trailhead.

Route Description

At 5,580' you will see a dead tree to climber's right of the trail (east) where you will find a use trail heading up to the base of the West Gully, the southernmost gully on the west side. Although at times it may look like you are heading into a rock wall, there is a defined, but loose, trail that tops out at 5,960' just 15' west from the main trail up the North Slope.

Essential Gear

None.
