Water in Paklenica

Water in Paklenica

Velebit massif is kingdom of karst. Thirsty karst terrain swallows all the water, which makes it worth the gold. Except rivers of SE Velebit, which are away from usual hikers routes, constant flows are rare. One such precious flow is Velika Paklenica creek in Velika Paklenica, seen here in the canyon part of the valley. There it falls over many cascades and waterfalls creating pleasant noise. During summer water retreats from the canyon while little bit up in the valley it flows constantly. Photo: Aleksandar Gospic

Nice!

Sasa, are you having sometimes a tripod with you. What was here approximately the exposure and time? Time was longer, I guess.

Re: Nice!

Thanks Vid! I have medium size tripod but I don't carry it frequently because it adds weight to what is usually heavy backpack. I have to buy one of those miniature ones but then they don’t have height. In situations like this, when I don't have it, I improvise with what is around and place a camera on the rock or tree and so on. This one was taken from rock, exposure 4sec with f8.

Natural beauty!!

Exactly the kind of shot I have been pursuing for years (without any success!). After enjoying this wonder, I'm going to abandon all hope to take anything better than this. Thanks for posting it, Aleksandar
