Piute Mountain from its NE Ridge, just above the talus bowl (Sep 21, 2003). The small snowpatch seen here is the permanent snowfield shown on the 7.5'. The red route is a system of ledges with good footing; the green route is likely one of Secor's chutes.

Green route

I took Secor's "chute on the right" -- shown in green in Holliman's photo above -- a typical Sierra rock/scree slope, not bad, and with no exposure.
