A new mountain.

Great signature photo. The perspective makes Mt. Muir look like a separate mountain, worthy of climbing. The light snow is a great touch too. I'm assuming this was taken in flight?

Your assumption is correct. The summit does appear to be more worthy without Whitney, the Needles, and the rest of the crest in the background.

Ease of acces does not denote worthiness!

Muir is totally worthy, and here is why. After exiting the Whitney Freeway, you can sit(rather precariously though)on the summit of Muir alone. It was the most enjoyable part of the Whitney trip for me. My own 14er without the Disneylanders.
