Lenticular clouds near the...

Lenticular clouds near the summit hut on April 14, 2002. Winds would soon kick up to 110 mph knocking a few of us off our feet a few times on the hike out. See my SP Trip Report for a very verbose account of the hike ;-)

Lenticular Cloud

That type of cloud formation is known as a "lenticular cloud". Their formations tell of increased wind activity as you pionted out in your trip report. The horizontal layering look of them is created by the windflow over rugged terrain. That is a great shot, very well done!!
