Ah, Wolayer Seekopf! We should have climbed it when we were last time here. It's not a long ascent from the lake.

Not a long way?It depends, which route you take. I have prepared the Main Ridge West subgroup page last night. Consulting my guidebooks I was amazed, how many climbing routes there are onto Seekopf. Or in the whole western part of the main ridge. Gabriele says the most alpinistic subgroup is elsewhere and if he's right it must be impressive! Unfortunately I deleted his post while reshuffling the Carnic Alps page :-(

Re: Not a long way?Well, Wolayer See is at about 1900, Wolayer Seekopf is 2500 and some, and ferratta starts soon above the lake. So it shouldn't be more than 2 hours up and the same down.

Is it a ferrata? My map seems to indicate a path rather than a ferrata. I'll have to check the guidebook, though. So far I didn't want to post Seekopf so I'm a bit ignorant in that respect.
Read your TR. Check your mail :-)
