Pacific Tarn

Beautiful. I'll bet that's Pacific Tarn right below you; at 13,400' it's the highest lake in N. America. Isn't Pacific a gem of a climb? It's my favorite CO peak. Which route did you take in this season?

Re: Pacific Tarn

Thanks for the comment. I believe you are right about that being the Pacific Tarn. To answer your question, I climbed Crystal, Pacific and Atlantic yesterday (from before dawn till after dusk) from the Mayflower Gulch Trailhead. So on Pacific it was the North Ridge that I climbed. I agree this is indeed a gem, especially the notch to top it all off. The snow and ice made for treacherous conditions, but I had all day thanks to beautiful weather. I will post a TR within a few days.

Pacific Tarn

Excellent (and rare) shot of Quandary. I remember noticing this lake from the summit of Quandary last October, even though it was already frozen then.

Re: Pacific Tarn

Thanks for the comment. I'm yet to summit Quandary, but look forward to getting up there sometime.
