SP'er Cornvallis is visible in this pic standing on top of the Matterhorn. I took this pic (using digital telephoto) while I was atop Sacajawea. This is the answer to RPC's question posed back in October regarding seeing 2 specks on top of the Matterhorn Tom "sprinted" over to the Matterhorn and back in about 90 minutes. 9-27-03

Voted 10/10 | Great shot Dean - always like the shots showing the "smallness" of a climber relative to his/her alpine environs! | | Posted Feb 27, 2004 3:33 pm |

Hasn't voted | Glad to clear up the "2 speck" mystery. Who was the other speck is the question that will never be answered. You guys looked like you had a good time at the Portland SP meeting (that pizza looked GOOD)
Bob said he had a great time and behaved himself.
Thanks for the vote and the comment, and you are right on, we are rather small when we get measured up against "mother nature". | | Posted Feb 27, 2004 4:10 pm |
| Cornvallis | gotta give this one 4 stars! | |
Voted 10/10 | Great picture Dean! Of course I might be a bit biased.
Can you email me the high res version of this pic? Thanks, Tom | | Posted Mar 2, 2004 2:16 am |
