This is the Krause cabin,...

This is the Krause cabin, found on a side trail about 1 1/2 miles up the trail. The door was open and we peeked inside to find a place that you could overnight in. Ski mountaineers use this during the winter.

Krause Cabin

This is actually Grayback Snow Shelter. Krause cabin was burned before 2006. Don't know if it was accidental or on purpose. It was in a meadow beyond this.
