The wreckage of a plane that crashed many years ago litter the hillside just off of the trail en route to the summit of Charleston (visible dead center). The trail goes to the left.

Dean, makes me want to climb this mountain next time I'm in Las Vegas.

Thank you and a trip to Las Vegas isn't complete without climbing this amazing peak. I did the south loop which takes you through a terrific bristlecone forest and when you are about a mile away, the full peak comes into view. However, the final bit to the peak was really neat. The wind really blows up there but be sure to put it on your Vegas agenda.

My mom lives down there and she was a little ticked off at me for disappearing for most of a day (when I did Charleston) but it was worth it. : )) (Sorry about the blatant links but these are some of my favorite things I remember from this peak)
