Sometimes it's not ideal to ski the Jamapa Glacier. Although it had snowed about 4 days earlier, the conditions were about 1/2-1 inch of hard styrofoam over hardpack or wind-sculpted ice. Great for crampons but not for skis. There's a single crampon mark in the lower left corner. Dec 1, 2002.
