Overview
Part of the
Chablais Massif, Mount Linleu is the highest summit between
Cornettes de Bise, 2432 m and
Pointe de Bellevue on the french-swiss border. It is a nice rock pyramid with only one easy route to the summit from the french side.
Seen from Switzerland, the Linleu looks like a thin crest, from the french side it appears like a strange leaning tower.
Between Mount Linleu and Avalanche Point, is fitted deeply the Arvouin lake, a wonderful water plan.
On old maps, Linleu is called Mont Lenla.
The name Linleu comes from Loup (wolf).
