Is this just basically off-trail hiking? Any route info? I did enjoy the comment about routes from the north - "but only Canadians would come from that way." (so you're not including those) heh heh. Wait til Eileen sees that! ;- )
There is no trail up Lago and it maxes out at Class 3 (but with some potentially nasty slabbery). So I think it's above your pay grade so don't even attempt it.
