Some possible routes would be a nice addition.

Hi Charlie,

You're absolutely right. However, the mountain page is voted on separately from the route pages. Anyone can add a route, and it is voted on independently. I don't have enough time to write up the routes, so I give others the opportunity for some points. ;-)

Nice job on the page Bob (don't have to say that the photos are outstanding as always!!).

Thinking of trying it this weekend.

Great page-great pics. Helpful info. Inspires me to try it next summer.

Nice page, Bob. With 77 pics (before I added mine), it seems to be more popular than I would have imagined. It's got to be in the top 10 in terms of hits & pics for Washington mountains on Summitpost.

Other: the peak's highest summit is triangulated at 7,986 ft. This was apparently surveyed for an old 30-minute map (see here). Not a big deal either way.

As of today it's 14th in hits in WA. Daniel's a nice climb, and centrally situated near I-90, so I guess it makes sense that it's a popular peak. It was great fun to return to Daniel after a 15-year absense back in October.

How'd I miss rating this page? Its not often one gets to do a mountain with the guy who put up the page.

Nice job. Good info succinctly given.\

However, the Golden Eagle Pass does work in lieu of the Forest NW Pass. We just got one and were assured it would work.

Road Issue

Hey, as a heads up to everyone, the road into the trailhead has a pretty nasty stream running over it right now. It was about 80 degrees and the water was around 20" deep running very quickly. A car cannot make it through. A larger truck w. alot of ground clearance might be able to, as long as you go fast enough to not get swept away.
