Short, but good page. Gran Paradiso is on my wish list for ski mountaineering, though it's a long drive from my home. I like especially the fotos and hut infos. Hope to be there soon!
Just a short comment to inform readers that the true highest summit is not the Madonna (4058m) but the slightly higher summit a bit more in the north (4061m) approx 40 meters in horizontal distance. It can be reached from teh notch just below the madonna (reach on the western flank of the summit, i mean links and below the madonna. to reach the notch. Then there's a very short vertical section (easy but exposed) 4 or 5 meters high, join the ridge, another little madonna, and highest point is just 15 m further on the north on the ridge (space is limited here). So only a few people can actually claim they have reached the highest point!!!
