Overview

The aguilles rouges d'Arolla is a remarkable ridge between the valley of the lac des Dix and the Arolla valley. It consists of three main peaks and a lot (guidebook says 15) of little gendarmes. Although there are more difficult routes (ask in the cabane de aiguilles rouges) on the flanks of this ridge the N-S traverse is the main thing here.

Getting There

From Arolla walk to the Cabane Aiguilles Rouges in about 2,5 hours. You are now below the Aiguilles Rouges.

Camping

There is a campsite in Evolene and although your days will be longer you can start your tours from the valley.
