Overview
Kucuk Demirkazik is one of the most enjoyable peaks of Aladaglar range. It is one of the most closest peaks to the Demirkazik Village and its good limestone faces makes it attractive all year round. A ridge system is lies between Buyuk Demirkazik and Kucuk Demirkazik between and when you look from the village Kucuk Demirkazik is clearly visible on the left side of Buyuk Demirkazik.
Getting There The most common and logical starting point is Demirkazik village. From here you can either take Cimbar Gorge or Arpalik Plateu. Both of them takes you to the Tekepinari Camp within roughly 2-3 hours. Altough this is the regular approach you can also take Apiskar Gorge after Arpalik Plateu to get south face of Kucuk Demirkazik. In normal conditions it is not recommended as Apiskar Gorge is quite steep.Red TapeA small entrance fee is required to the national park.
The biggest red tape is ethical.
As bolting on high Aladaglar is a very controversial issue you are strongly recommended to contact local climbers before attempting such an action. This area is quite virgin an most of the community wants to keep as it is.
Camping The best and most convenient camping places are Apiskar Plateu and Tekepinari. In this places you can find water all year round and you can easily start for summit attemts.Routes Normal Route IV
