OverviewMount Bielawski is a completely unimpressive peak other than the fact that it is the highest point in Santa Cruz County, making it a CA County Highpoint. It is very close to Castle Rock State Park which offers some rock climbing opportunities. Mount Bielawski is also referred to as Mount McPherson, after the family who owns the property. There is a Christmas tree farm at the summit and fire tower. There is also a USGS marker and if you can't find it, apparently, the people who work there will show you where it is if you explain that you're a county highpointer.Getting ThereFrom Los Gatos, get on Highway 9 south and stay on it until it reaches Skyline Boulevard. Turn left on Skyline and follow it for about 3 miles until you reach a sign for Mount McPherson Christmas tree farm that is on the right side of the road. Follow the dirt road and it will reach the summit in less than 1/2 a mile.Red TapeThe summit is on private property, but is open to the public between Thanksgiving and Christmas.External LinksPictures of Mount Bielawski
