OverviewThe Accropolis is one of Sedona's most prominent and beautiful formations. It towers dramatically over uptown and is loacated between Wilson Mountain and Steamboat Rock. The easiest route ascends the North Face. The route asscends vegetated chimneys and offwidths for four or five pitches up the middle of the North Face. Route finding is going to be a big part of the fun. Bring a full rack and 2-60M ropes, some large gear may be helpful in the off-width sections. This summit has only been visited a handful of times. I left a summit register and I'd like to hear from anyone else who has made this climb. This climb has been rated rated 5.7+ FA-1975 BY: S. Baxter, R. Hardwick, G. Douglass in 1975.
