Thanks. Yeah, Timberline is about 6,500 feet in the area. Some trees grow above it. Bushwacking can be a major concern. Staying on the trails and ridgelines should definately be a priority. It's a fun place to explore.
A 6500 foot timberline is interesting for northern Idaho-I did some Katahdin submissions and Brian Jenkins' write up for the same says the timber line is around 3500 feet.Katahdin at 46 N almost 3 degrees south of Pyramid Peak. I'll have to look over some more pix of Pyramid.
Nicely done and composed-and only 1 typo. Martin, your grammar and typing skills are great. This looks like a nice mountain, and another exclusive to SP. Mountains like this, where no other info source is available, make SP special beyond the other sites. Thanks for submitting this fine mountain.
Thanks for the vote. I have another peak to put up, Scotchman Peak, which I've climbed in winter. Didn't get any photos though. I'll have to climb it again by a harder route this winter.
Have an ID peak as well that I've been meaning to put up - Mt. Independence (~9900') in the Albion Range (south central ID near City of Rocks).
Also been thinking of putting up Mt. Cruiser in the Olympics - a BEAUTIFUL little rock peak....but am in the same boat as you - NO photos of it (camera broke during climb).
Hey, I think I met you and that Klenke guy on the summit of She Devil. I was the old guy with the green pack who took your picture. Sounds like you guys had a great trip.
Nice page Martin. The approach/driving instructions need to be updated though. Once onto Highway 1, you drive 2 miles to Copeland road then left towards the bridge. Also, after crossing the bridge and hanging a left at the 'T', it's only about 1.5 miles to the Trout Creek road, which is marked only with a sign that shows which trail numbers are up the road - not with the trail name or feature names.
Are you sure about that? I timed everything with the odometer. Copeland Road? It think it's Waland Road. I'll update it if you're sure, I haven't been back there in a while.
Positive :) But if you're not comfy changing it without checking it out yourself, I'd understand. It didn't take us too much to figure it out and I'm sure others can too.

Untitled CommentExcellent page!
There's definitely been a shortage of ID mountains on SP!

Untitled CommentNice page. I would like to know how to make those charts on your routes overview. If you ever have the time, perhaps let me know.
