Overview

The Rabbit Ears, although not a mountain in the classical sense gives a climber a good alpine rock experience. Two volcanic plugs push out of the earth and look like rabbit ears when viewed from certain directions. Several climbs per year occur to the summit, but the lower apron has many rock climbs. Routes range from 5.4 to 5.11.

This is a must see and do!!!

Getting There

Follow I-5 to Roseburg. Head east on highway 138 to Diamond Lake and Crater Lake. Just past Diamond Lake take exit to highway 230. The turnoff to the Rabbit Ears is just North of the junction of highway 230 and highway 62. Turn on FS 6510 off highway 230. At 1.7 miles take right at junction onto FS 6520. At 2.2 miles take left onto FS 6515. Follow FS 6515 to mile 8.0. You will see the Rabbit Ears from the road.
